Marijuana Abuse Hurts Community

These treatment advocates are asserting that government control over an individual's personal habits is justified on the basis that any harm an individual does to himself has a negative impact on the surrounding community.

Ways to harm yourself:

- Poor diet / lack of exercise

- Risky investments

- Give yourself a wedgie

- Initiating an entrepreneurial enterprise - Most small businesses fail within their first year. Surely the government social workers can find foster homes for the children of irresponsible parents who choose to expose their children to this type of risk.

- Revealing "most embarassing moment"

- Failing to place friction pads in bathtub

- Military enlistment

- Irresponsible use of charcoal lighter fluid

- Poor choice in mating partner

- Lack of ruthlessness

- Embracing flawed ideology

- Advocating for change

  • Enough is enough is enough!!

The scientific (not political) consensus on marijuana is that the smoke is the most dangerous thing about pot. The legal penalties for pot far exceed any harm done to the individual or to society.

In fact the legal penalties for pot (as well as other drugs) have managed to put 50% of the young black men in D.C. into the criminal justice system. The criminal justice system does not make good citizens out of young black men. It makes young black men very angry at society. Is this good for society?

Is phony "treatment" (read: mind control) for a non-addictive substance good for society?

Personal freedom in America has become a myth. And you thought you lived in a free country? When the federal government has an interest in the contents of your bladder you live in an Orwellian and Totalitarian society. Your mind and your body no longer belong to you. Your mind and body now belong to "society"...

Want to hurt yourself and society? Be apathetic and stay out of the political process. Do not complain to your elected officials about the drug war. Let the narrow minded Christian Evangelicals (who, being self-righteous, are completely blind to their own evil) continue to run you into the ground.

Want to help yourself and society? Stand up as a caring, responsible adult who deserves the right to choose to enjoy any and all of life's pleasures as you see fit and if you see fit. Get involved in the political process. Complain to your elected officials. Register to vote now!! Find out who your pro-drug candidates are. Midterms are in 2006!! Vote in EVERY election!!

  • Drug War Focuses on Marijuana

Emphasis on heroin and cocaine fades as marijuana now accounts for nearly half of all drug arrests.

    – Dan Eggen

The study of FBI data by a Washington-based think tank, the Sentencing Project, found that the proportion of heroin and cocaine cases plummeted from 55 percent of all drug arrests in 1992 to less than 30 percent 10 years later. During the same period, marijuana arrests rose from 28 percent of the total to 45 percent.
