Local, state narcotics roundup nets 18 arrests

A local and state investigation into cocaine and oxycodone sales in Yazoo County netted 18 arrests during a roundup of suspects Wednesday morning, officials said.
"The investigation targeted low- to mid-level traffickers of marijuana and cocaine in and around our city," Yazoo City Police Chief Michael Wallace said.
"We are very pleased with the arrests this (Wednesday) morning and believe that they will have an impact on the reduction of the drug trade in our area."
