Hello Loretta,
Your link didn't work but I read the article here:
http://www.natlnarc.org/Vol9No1final2.pdf
This "Call for Action" is yet another demonstration that rabidly anti-drug people have intractable "beliefs" about drugs, drug laws and the real effects of both on society.
"Beliefs" are for children and for the ignorant. Logic, facts and objective reasoning are the domain of well-informed adults.
Of course, the main point of "This Call to Action" is a plea to keep funding those awful "Drug Task Forces." The reader is implored "Not to turn their backs on Narcotics Officers".
I suggest the Narcs get re-trained and work in some other, more useful area of Law Enforcement.
The nauseating article about "The Sheep" and the "Sheepdog" (toward the back of the newsletter) demonstrates the classic "conceit of the annointed" syndrome.
You are right Loretta, how they do "put on"!!
