UNDER heavy security, Colombia yesterday extradited a female guerilla leader to the US to face drug-trafficking charges.
Nayibe Rojas, 43, is accused of shipping more than 600 tonnes of cocaine to the US and Europe each year to finance the 41-year leftist rebellion against the Colombian Government that has claimed more than 200,000 lives.
Better known by her nom de guerre "Commandante Sonia", she allegedly headed narcotics operations for the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).
