Government Snatches Infant

(Salem) – On Thursday morning, about 8:30 AM, Marion County Sheriff Street Crimes Detectives along with Patrol Deputies served a search warrant at 5744 36th Ave SE, Salem. The detectives discovered an indoor marijuana growing operation including 115 marijuana plants with an estimated street value of about $150,000.
52-yr old James Earl Hickam and 29-yr old Rebecca Hickam were arrested on charges of Manufacture, Distribution and Possession of a Controlled Substance and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. Both lived at the 36th Ave address. Both were lodged at the Marion County Jail. The couple’s three-month-old infant son was present and is now in the custody of the Oregon Department of Human Services – Child Welfare.
