Police departments join forces to nab drug dealers

Sulphur Southwest Daily News, LA

At 4 a.m. yesterday, narcotics agents from Combined Area Team, the Calcasieu Anti-Drug Task Force, began issuing arrest warrants in the Portie Town area of Sulphur.

Twenty-one warrants were served and 12 arrests made as the result of an investigation.

"People who push poison have no boundaries, so our task force should have no boundaries," said Mayor Ron LeLeux.

"We can't be everywhere and we depend on our citizens being our eyes and ears. When they see something going on or hear something going on, they need to call us, knowing that we will respond and we will take action," he said.

"The warrants are good all over the world. They can run but they can't hide," said Mullican.

"We are at war here and the local investigators are fighting like soldiers to take them down," he said.
