Three Suffolk police officers were treated for exposure to drug fumes after a drug raid at a Blue Point home Tuesday, authorities said.

At about 9:30 p.m., detectives searched the home with a warrant and arrested the resident for drug possession, police said.

Assisted by Emergency Service, K-9, and C.O.P.E Officers, detectives seized approximately $2000 worth of powder and crack cocaine which was packaged for sale.

During the seizure, the subject broke at least one bag of cocaine and threw it up into the air in an apparent attempt to destroy the evidence, police said. As a result, three officers were exposed to fumes from the drugs and had to be hospitalized.

Police arrested 36-year-old Brian Reynolds, of Purick Street, and charged him with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree.

I'll bet these officers get a good laugh every time they snort the coke they keep in their lockers at the gym while thinking about the great disability benefits they will get from their "on the job injury".
