Police: Elderly woman hid pot in sock

LEOMINSTER -- Police raided a family's home and arrested three residents on marijuana charges Wednesday afternoon, according to police reports.
Police found a marijuana plant in the room of 62-year-old Dorothy L. Mitchell at 84 Adams St., along with a joint in her sock, according to a report written by Det. Joseph L. Siciliano Jr.
"Dorothy told us she smokes marijuana when she gets a headache and just wanted to see what it was like to grow a 'pot plant,'" Siciliano wrote.
Police charged her with possession of a class D substance.
